Our History
Dyan Lopez-Fiamengo has been dancing in performance, competition, and professional dance teams since 1973. Dyan is no stranger to the dance world or the Palos Verdes Peninsula. She has been working with three generations now and after 30 years of teaching, has opened up her dance studio with her then 19 year old daughter Breeonna. After teaching at several dance studios in the greater Los Angeles area and the South Bay area, Dyan knew what she did and did not want at her studio. She had great mentors through the years and when Dyan took the leap of faith to open up her own studio, it surpassed all of her dreams.
After only 2 years, Elite Dance Studio, LLC was chosen as Best New Business of 2014. In just two years, Elite's teams have won best technique, best concept, most creative, MVP, best costumes, best music, most inspirational, most photogenic, high points, sweepstakes, and more. Dyan has had her Electric Youth Dance Company since 1997 and has now changed the name to The Elite Company under various titles. We have something for everyone at Elite. If one wants to only perform, we have the Diamonds and Titanium Song and Dance company. If one wants to compete and perform at various venues with low time commitment, we have our Junior Elite, Elite Beats Hip Hop team, Mini Elite, and Petite teams. If one would like to perform and compete at a higher commitment level, Evolution competitive team is for you. All teams at Elite will have the opportunity to compete and perform, along with opportunities to attend various conventions. Elite teams have competed at Nuvo, Kar, Showstoppers, Rainbow, Radix, Hall of Fame, Starbound, Jump, etc. Our teams also enjoy performing at various venues such as Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, Magic Mountain, local fairs, theater performances, Clippers, Sparks, LA Galaxy and South Bay Lakers. Some groups have had TV opportunities as well and have been featured in a national Depend commercial and on channel 5 performing the iconic Michael Jacksons routine ”Thrill the World." For the mature dancer, we have the established Electric Crew Adult team. These women were also featured in the Depend commercial, celebrity gossip columnist Rona Barrett's 80th Birthday Bash and fundraiser, Conqour d'elegance, and were featured dancers with the Ole Skool Crew RHE performing at WNBA LA Sparks games for a season as well as performances at all the venues listed above.

Mission Statement
Our goal is to bring the joy of dance to all that walk into our studio. At Elite Dance Studio, LLC, everyone will be treated like they are special. We strive to build an environment for students that is fun, healthy and memorable. There are classes for any aged individual who is looking to dance, exercise, cheer, perform, compete, etc. Elite can make it happen! We offer classes in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary and hip hop, along with specialty classes such tricks and turns, tumble, stretch and condition, stretch and strength, jazz tech, adult tap, boys hip hop, and more. If you do not see a style you like, we will try to create a class for you! We also offer private instruction for those wanting to get on a local high school dance, song or cheer team, obtain new skills and even offer specialty classes to help gain Girl Scout badges. We at Elite provide a safe and nurturing environment for our dancers as we develop our students in confidence, character and creativity.
